Christ in You

We look forward to joining you in Worship this Sunday, starting at 11:00AM in the Sanctuary. On this Forth Sunday of Advent, we will light the Candle of Love. Rev. Benjamin Wines will bring the message titled, “Christ in You”. We will be reading from Romans 8:1-11 and our Call to worship comes from Psalm 119:33-40.

Call to Worship Psalm 119:33-40
Leader: Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes,
People: And I will observe it to the end.
Leader: Give me understanding, that I may keep your law
People: And observe it with my whole heart.
Leader: Lead me in the path of your commandments,
People: For I delight in it.
Leader: Turn my heart to you decrees,
People: And not to selfish gain.
Leader: Turn my eyes from looking at vanities;
People: Give me life in your ways.
Leader: Confirm to your servant your promise,
People: Which is for those who fear you.
Leader: Turn away the disgrace that I dread,
People: For your ordinances are good.
Leader: See, I have longed for your precepts;
People: In your righteousness give me life.

Lighting the Candle of Love
Leader: We know the love of God is great,
People: Greater than anything we could imagine.
Leader: It spans continents,
People: It perseveres through eternity.
Leader: But two thousand years ago,
People: Everything changed.
Leader: God took on flesh.
People: God came to walk among the people.
Leader: And so we know God loves us,
People: Because God came and lived among us.
Leader: May we feel the love of Christ this Advent.
People: May we make his love known to others.
